Lunafest a big success

Thank you for helping to make our 4th annual Lunafest DC our best year yet! We had a wonderful turnout and enjoyed celebrating our 2012 spring grantees, mingling off the mat and enjoying a terrific set of short films made by, for and about women! For those of you that supported us with “be there in spirit” tickets but we’re able to join us in person, please know how much your support means to us as well. The night was a huge success thanks in large part to your donations!

The night simply wouldn’t have been possible without our fabulous sponsors - Steptoe and Johnson, LLC, Tranquil Space, Tevolution and TranquilT. So thanks to all of you again as well.

Lunafest 2012 is right around the corner, and there’s still time to nominate your favorite charity to receive a TSF generosity grant!

Tickets are on sale NOW for Lunafest 2012 - our annual film festival featuring films by, for and about women. This is our forth year in partnership with Luna in hosting this fun and informative event! Learn more about Lunafest 2012 here.

TSF awards grants to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations with programming that reflects TSF’s Missionand Values. Grantee nominations were open to the public for the first time in 2011, and we are opening up the process to the public again in 2012! The deadline is March 9th, so get nominating!

Give To the Max Day is a one-day fundraising event on November 9, 2011 that will unite local Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC communities to support nonprofits serving the area. 5th Annual Celebration a Big Success!

What a night! Our fifth annual celebration raised nearly $2700 for our programming and generosity grants. In our five years, TSF has given over $10,000 to like-minded organizations, including some of the grantees we celebrated with last night. The foundation has also served over 300 girls through its TranquilTeens program.

A big thanks to everyone who came to support, those who were with us in spirit, our raffle and auction winners, and of course to DJ Ten for spinning the tunes on our celebratory night!
